Laura Doanová

Senior Consultant

Laura Doanová (she/her/hers) is a Senior Consultant with Shared Planet where she focuses on decarbonisation and climate policy, particularly in Europe. To this end, she has worked on issues ranging from feminist just energy transition in Asia, through the environmental effects of food waste in the UK, to climate mitigation policies in the EU. Her work has mostly involved developing policy briefs, thought leadership reports, literature reviews and stakeholder interviews for international as well as local clients including WWF, Oxfam, City Harvest London and others. 

 

Before joining Shared Planet, Laura worked in the European Parliament in Brussels as a trainee assistant to Czech MEP Radka Maxová where she was primarily responsible for drafting background papers, position papers and speeches. She also worked as a research assistant in the LSE Department of Government on a research project investigating the links between environmental lobbying and policymaking in the EU, and in the Department for International Trade (now Business and Trade) in the UK. Laura holds a BSc in Politics from the London School of Economics. She is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak. Outside of work, Laura tries to engage with her local community as she believes that local areas hold immense power to deliver positive change.
