Sze Vei Leong

Consultant

Sze Vei Leong (she/her/hers) is a Consultant with Shared Planet, specialising in the Just Transitions practice area. She offers expertise in research services, stakeholder engagement, and comprehensive mapping of donors and literature.  Her diverse client portfolio includes the World Resources Institute (WRI), HIVOS, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), Penn State and Oregon State University. Through these collaborations, she seeks to contribute valuable insights and strategic solutions that align with her commitment to advancing climate justice, especially in gender and socio-economic equity. 

 

Prior to joining Shared Planet, Sze Vei worked as a research assistant focusing on gender issues through projects closely aligned with UN Women initiatives in Ukraine and Türkiye. In this capacity, she engaged in researching, writing reports, and implementing gender mainstreaming strategies on topics including women’s civil society organisations and preventing violence against women in humanitarian contexts. She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, focused on political economy and development economics, alongside a BA in International Development from King's College London. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
