Yiğit Gürpınar

Yiğit Gürpınar (he/him/his) is a Consultant at Shared Planet. Passionate about advancing the just transition area focusing on weaving together economic, climate, and gender justice in the Global South, he is also involved in projects related to biodiversity protection and ecological restoration, and cultural heritage. His work includes mapping of the literature, research services, quantitative surveys and data analysis for clients like Hivos, Royal Commission for Al Ula (RCU), and NEOM.
Previously, Yiğit worked at Metro AG on digital communication and supporting local seed networks. He also interned for a UK-based electric vehicle start up to conduct research on green mobility. Yiğit holds an MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics, and a BA degree in Political Science and IR from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. His studies focused on political economy of development, the impacts of economic liberalisation in the Global South, and the vital role of intersectional approaches in promoting structural economic reforms, aimed at creating a future that is both more equitable and sustainable. He is fluent in English, French, and Turkish.
