Managing Director
Stephanie Lvovich
She/Her/Hers
Stephanie Lvovich is the founder and Managing Director of Shared Planet. Before founding Shared Planet, Stephanie served as the global chair of public affairs at Edelman public relations. She has nearly 30 years of public affairs and stakeholder engagement experience with a particular specialisation in reputation management, policy advocacy and thought leadership.
Stephanie leads the Nature Restoration practice at Shared Planet and oversees all client projects. Her client work focuses on issues relating to ecological restoration, deforestation and landscape approaches, human wildlife conflict and the relationship with indigenous community stakeholders, shifting the global financial architecture towards a nature positive economy, cultural heritage and archaeology issues, and environmental awareness campaigning and behaviour change.
Prior to joining Edelman, Stephanie worked for APCO Worldwide in London for nearly nine years where she built and managed APCO Worldwide’s global Food & Consumer Products practice internationally as well as the firm’s new business function for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. Stephanie has authored articles in the field of international public affairs and corporate reputation and was recognised by HRH Queen Elizabeth in 2003 as a Pioneer to the Life of the Nation.

Arielle Rosenthal

Arielle Rosenthal is a Senior Research Consultant with Shared Planet. Arielle’s work is particularly focused on the areas of food security, the right to food, food waste, surplus food redistribution services, and sustainable food and agricultural systems. At Shared Planet, Arielle leads the Food Systems practice area with a particular focus on food poverty, food waste reduction, and sustainable agriculture – working with leading UK and global NGO clients. Arielle has conducted research and published reports, developed global mapping and stakeholder analyses, organised global conferences, presented at events, supported advocacy campaigns, coordinated a global network of professionals, and produced fundraising strategies for her clients. She has also represented both Shared Planet and her clients at global conferences on circularity, climate change and food systems.
With a BA in International Development and Latin American and Caribbean Studies from McGill University and an MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies from the London School of Economics, Arielle has worked with the United Nations World Food Programme in both Bolivia and Panama, Médecins Sans Frontières, Embrace Relief in the United States, the Refugee Centre in Canada and Al Otro Lado in Mexico. Arielle also completed an exchange programme at the Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia.

Arimbi Wahono

Arimbi Wahono is a Senior Consultant at Shared Planet. She leads the Just Transitions Practice area and specialises in projects relating to just transitions (including gender, climate, and economic justice) and global biodiversity policy and financing. At the heart of this work is the recognition that systems change is needed to move towards an economy that values both people and the environment. To that end, her client management portfolio includes WWF, Oxfam International, Hivos, and the Women’s Environment & Development Organization, where she leads on providing stakeholder engagement and research services.
Arimbi has previously worked at the Global Green Growth Institute (Indonesian branch), where she authored and reviewed policy briefs relating to the expansion of renewable energy in Indonesia. Arimbi holds an MSc in Comparative Politics (with a political economy specialisation) from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA (Joint Honours) in Development Studies and Political Science from McGill University. Her studies have focused on the consequences of financial and economic liberalisation, and the necessity for structural economic transformation to achieve a more just, sustainable, and inclusive future.

Megan Simpson

Megan is a Senior Consultant at Shared Planet. She leads the Community Engagement practice area and specialises in projects relating to community-led nature conservation and restoration. She is passionate about advancing the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in conservation initiatives and finding solutions to biodiversity loss that benefit those most affected. Megan’s client management portfolio includes WWF-UK, IUCN, and the Human-Wildlife Co-Existence Research Network for Africa. For these clients, she has developed guidance tools for justice-led conservation initiatives in the UK, developed policy briefs and reports on the links between health and forests, and mapped policies and stakeholders related to the human wildlife conflict.
Megan previously worked at the Métis National Council (MNC), an Indigenous government in Canada. During her time there, she researched and developed technical documents, policy briefings, and reports on the impacts of climate change on health, the Métis social determinants of health, and other public health issues related to the Métis. Megan holds an MA in Human Rights from the University College London (UCL), and a BA in History with an integrated Masters in Management from University of British Columbia (UBC).

Laura Doanova

Laura Doanová is a Senior Consultant with Shared Planet where she focuses on decarbonisation and climate policy, particularly in Europe. To this end, she has worked on issues ranging from feminist just energy transition in Asia, through the environmental effects of food waste in the UK, to climate mitigation policies in the EU. Her work has mostly involved developing policy briefs, thought leadership reports, literature reviews and stakeholder interviews for international as well as local clients including WWF, Oxfam, City Harvest London and others.
Before joining Shared Planet, Laura worked in the European Parliament in Brussels as a trainee assistant to Czech MEP Radka Maxová where she was primarily responsible for drafting background papers, position papers and speeches. She also worked as a research assistant in the LSE Department of Government on a research project investigating the links between environmental lobbying and policymaking in the EU, and in the Department for International Trade (now Business and Trade) in the UK. Laura holds a BSc in Politics from the London School of Economics. She is fluent in English, Czech and Slovak. Outside of work, Laura tries to engage with her local community as she believes that local areas hold immense power to deliver positive change.

Helen Williams

Helen Williams is a Consultant at Shared Planet where she focuses on climate law and policy. She has worked on issues ranging from policy advocacy for animals, a fundraising campaign for sustainable cities initiatives, and justice-led conservation initiatives. Her client work has involved developing stakeholder analysis, creating advocacy campaigns, and coordinating a network of public affairs professionals.
Prior to joining, she interned for the U.S. Department of State, supporting international environmental diplomacy projects, and the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, advocating for policy to increase urban biodiversity. She has qualitative research experience from her time as a research assistant at the USC Security and Political Economy Lab, examining the linkages between natural resources and civil conflict. Helen holds a MPhil in Anthropocene Studies from the University of Cambridge, completing her dissertation on the legal rights of nature in the UK. She holds a BA in International Relations from the University of Southern California.

Alessandra Zannier

Alessandra Zannier is a Consultant with Shared Planet. She is passionate about international relations, environmental issues, and food security. Her focus at Shared Planet spans the biodiversity protection, just transition and food systems practice areas, working with a range of government and NGO clients. Alessandra also coordinates Shared Planet’s work with clients in the cultural heritage space. Her experience of project types includes conducting stakeholder analyses, producing literature reviews and benchmarking reports, and mapping global trends.
Alessandra holds a BA in International Relations from the University of York and an MSc in Global Politics from the London School of Economics. She has previously worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, where she supported FAO projects to improve food security in emergency contexts, including climate- and conflict-related emergencies. Prior to this, she was a trainee at the Delegation of the European Union to the International Organisations in Vienna, where she was responsible for researching and monitoring developments in the war in Ukraine. Alessandra also worked as an Assistant Trade Analyst at the Italian Trade Agency in London and interned at the International Commission on Missing Persons in The Hague. She is fluent in English, Italian and intermediate French.

Sze Vei Leong

Sze Vei Leong is a Consultant with Shared Planet, specialising in the Just Transitions practice area. She offers expertise in research services, stakeholder engagement, and comprehensive mapping of donors and literature. Her diverse client portfolio includes the World Resources Institute (WRI), HIVOS, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), Penn State and Oregon State University. Through these collaborations, she seeks to contribute valuable insights and strategic solutions that align with her commitment to advancing climate justice, especially in gender and socio-economic equity.
Prior to joining Shared Planet, Sze Vei worked as a research assistant focusing on gender issues through projects closely aligned with UN Women initiatives in Ukraine and Türkiye. In this capacity, she engaged in researching, writing reports, and implementing gender mainstreaming strategies on topics including women’s civil society organisations and preventing violence against women in humanitarian contexts. She holds an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics, focused on political economy and development economics, alongside a BA in International Development from King's College London. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.

Yiğit Gürpınar

Yiğit Gürpınar is a Consultant at Shared Planet. Passionate about advancing the just transition area focusing on weaving together economic, climate, and gender justice in the Global South, he is also involved in projects related to biodiversity protection and ecological restoration, and cultural heritage. His work includes mapping of the literature, research services, quantitative surveys and data analysis for clients like Hivos, Royal Commission for Al Ula (RCU), and NEOM.
Previously, Yiğit worked at Metro AG on digital communication and supporting local seed networks. He also interned for a UK-based electric vehicle start up to conduct research on green mobility. Yiğit holds an MSc in Political Economy from the London School of Economics, and a BA degree in Political Science and IR from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul. His studies focused on political economy of development, the impacts of economic liberalisation in the Global South, and the vital role of intersectional approaches in promoting structural economic reforms, aimed at creating a future that is both more equitable and sustainable. He is fluent in English, French, and Turkish.

Mariam Moussa

Mariam Moussa is a consultant at Shared Planet. She is passionate about just transitions and community engagement, striving to implement them in her work from economic, social, and environmental perspectives. At Shared Planet, she is currently active on several consultancy projects with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU), where she focuses on advancing RCU's environmental awareness campaign and promoting its cultural positioning. Mariam’s work includes conducting stakeholder analysis, formulating literature reviews, and designing effective strategies and methodologies. Fluent in both Arabic and English, she possesses proficiency in statistical analysis tools like R and brings a dynamic commitment to research, policy, and advocacy.
Throughout her professional journey, Mariam has contributed significantly to research and policy initiatives. She served as a Research Assistant at the Access to Knowledge for Development Centre (A2K4D) in Egypt, contributing to reports on health data governance and researching AI start-ups in Agri-Food sectors across five MENA countries. Her work experience extends to roles in N Gage Consulting, where she conducted research on regulatory developments in the Food and Beverage industry, producing policy briefs for governmental export councils. She also interned at the banking reform sector of The Central Bank of Egypt, contributing to its strategy for promoting financial inclusion of MSMEs. On the academic front, Mariam is currently pursuing her MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), complemented by a BA in Economics from The American University in Cairo (AUC), with minors in History and Political Science. For her community projects on gender equality and women’s economic empowerment, she was awarded the Tomorrow’s Leaders Gender Scholarship and The Doria Shafik Award. Her research interests include women’s economic justice, digital transformations, and political sociology.

Dana Abuzinadah

Dana Abuzinadah is a consultant at Shared Planet with research interests including environmental equity, social mobility, and indigenous environmental stewardship. She is actively engaged in consultancy projects with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU). Dana plays a valuable role in facilitating the RCU's cultural positioning initiative through compiling and examining mixed methods secondary research. Her role also entails engaging in stakeholder mapping and translating policy outputs.
Dana is currently completing her BSc International Social and Public Policy (Development) at the London School of Economics (LSE). In addition to her having studied technological innovation and sustainability at the School of the New York Times, she continues to conduct mixed methods research on the political economies of the Arab Gulf and minorities involved in climate activism. Dana previously earned an award at University College London for her independent research on culture and orientalism in the early twentieth century.

Jean-Michel Betran-Makosso

Jean-Michel is a Research Consultant at Shared Planet. His expertise lies at the intersection of security, human rights and environmental issues, with a particular focus on the African continent. He holds an M.A. in International Security from Sciences Po’s Paris School of International Affairs, with concentrations in human rights and diplomacy, where he addressed peacebuilding and development efforts in conflict contexts. Additionally, he holds an MSc in Human Rights and Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he focused on gender and environmental justice, looking at water security in particular. Jean-Michel has occupied a range of assistant roles in international organisations and NGOs in the sectors of human rights advocacy, research on security and the management of international development projects. He is an advocate of human rights-based approaches to security, development and environmental issues, and is deeply committed to contributing to positive change.
Before joining Shared Planet, Jean-Michel was interning at the African Development Bank Group where he supported the Affirmative Finance Action for Women in Africa (AFAWA) initiative, aiming to reduce the gender financing gap and promote women’s access to finance through development initiatives across the continent. Before that, he worked within the Peace and Security Hub at the United Nations System Staff College as a Consultant, where he supported the content development and delivery of training courses on conflict sensitivity and conflict analysis tailored for international staff of the UN system, including in collaboration with colleagues from the United Nations Development Programme, the Food and Agriculture Organization, UN Women, the UN Department of Peace Operations’ Gender Unit and UN country teams. Jean-Michel is fluent in English, French, and Spanish and intermediate in Italian and Modern Standard Arabic.

Mia Speier

Mia Speier is a consultant at Shared Planet, with a global focus on social media platforms, online safety, technology policy, and human rights. She was previously the research coordinator at the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, an organization dedicated to defending freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and democracy in the digital age. She has wide-ranging experience across the public sector, think tanks, and non-profits. Mia previously interned for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Press Center, Council on Foreign Relations, Office of the Director of National Intelligence, U.S. Agency for Global Media, and U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe. She also interned in Brussels, Belgium for REVOLVE Media, a sustainability-focused communications consultancy.
Prior to joining Shared Planet, Mia studied technology policy, Internet law, and digital governance as a Shirley Scholar at the Oxford Internet Institute, where she earned an M.Sc. in the Social Science of the Internet. Her thesis explored how journalists used Twitter to combat misinformation amid the Russia-Ukraine war. At Oxford, she served as digital director of the Oxford Synthetic Media Forum, the university’s first-ever conference on generative AI, and as an ambassador for Free Press Unlimited, a press freedom advocacy NGO based in the Netherlands.
Mia holds a B.A. in International Relations and an M.A. in Public Diplomacy from the University of Southern California. Mia brings a strong social science research background, with experience in social impact advocacy and digital communications, to Shared Planet. She is originally from Los Angeles, California.

Sophie Legros

Sophie Legros is a Manager with Shared Planet. She is a mixed-methods social scientist with over 10 years of experience as a researcher and practitioner in international development across 20 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America, Europe, and Asia, partnering with grassroots, government, corporates, and INGOs to deliver transformative social programs. Her expertise lies in feminist economics, social norms, care economies, urban insecurity and informal livelihoods, and research design.
Sophie has conducted background research, literature reviews, mappings of community organizations, participation action research, and data analysis for academic and policy-oriented research projects with Girls Not Brides, Corpovisionarios (in Bogotá), and the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Studies at Harvard University. She was Head of Monitoring and Evaluation with Coaches Across Continents. Sophie carried out 16 months of fieldwork in Medellín, Colombia for her PhD thesis on gender norms’ dynamics of change, where she conducted mixed-methods analysis through secondary time series data from the World Values Survey, primary household survey data, and qualitative interviews. She has published academic articles and presented at several conferences. Sophie holds a BA in Philosophy and Mathematics from Harvard University, MSc in Philosophy of the Social Sciences from the London School of Economics (LSE), and is soon to hold a Doctorate in International Development from LSE. She is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
