Sabrina Salameh

Consultant

Sabrina is a consultant at Shared Planet. Her previous professional experience spanned areas of inclusive trade, gender equality, and social issues, with a particular interest in political economy focusing on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. She has three years of experience in Jordan’s development sector, where she worked at the Business and Professional Women Association (BPWA), an NGO pioneering women’s economic empowerment in Jordan. There, she led the country's first trade hub for women-owned and led businesses and coordinated the World Economic Forum’s Gender Parity Accelerator. Additionally, she worked with the United Nations Statistics Division as a graduate consultant, enhancing UNSD’s Citizen-Generated Data framework.

Sabrina was awarded the Said Foundation Scholarship, a prestigious award for high-achieving students from the MENA, to complete an MSc in Development Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She holds a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Jordan, an academic experience that provided her a strong interdisciplinary foundation. Beyond practice and academia, Sabrina is passionate about advocacy and grassroots activism, where she has been recognised as a Global Changemaker for her work against gender discrimination in citizenship laws. She was also named a 2022 She Leader by the Swedish Institute for her work at BPWA. Sabrina is fluent in Arabic and English.
